5 QUESTIONS WITH Tanjiro Kamado

Tanjiro Kamado, the kind-hearted hero of Demon Slayer, is known for his unshakeable compassion and dedication to protecting others. Despite the horrors he faces, Tanjiro remains a beacon of hope, inspiring those around him with his warmth and understanding. This week, we talked to Tanjiro about finding strength in compassion, dealing with loss, and never giving up on the people he loves.

Q1: Tanjiro, what drives you to keep fighting?

My family. I can’t change what’s happened, but I can protect others and honor their memory by doing everything I can to help.

I remind myself that every struggle has meaning. If I can make it through, maybe someone else won’t have to suffer as much.

Q2: How do you handle hardship?

Q3: What advice would you give to someone dealing with loss?

It’s okay to feel pain and sadness. Take your time, but remember, healing comes when you keep moving forward. Cherish those memories, and let them give you strength.

Q4: What does compassion mean to you?

Compassion is understanding others, even if they’re different from you. Sometimes it means forgiving, even when it’s hard.

Q5: How do you find strength when you feel weak?

I remember the people who rely on me and my promise to protect them. When you fight for someone else, you find strength even when you think you’ve reached your limit.
